Agreement To Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”) and Responsive Resumes LLC and its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively, “Company“, “we”, “us”, or “our”), concerning your access to and use of the career.io and resume.io platforms as well as any other website, media channel, mobile site or mobile application operated by us and on which these Terms are made available (collectively, the “Platform”).

JOB PLACEMENT AND PROFESSIONAL COACHING SERVICES 

These terms apply to all subscribers of our Job Placement and Professional Coaching services, and supplement the terms and conditions set forth in these Terms. While our clients have an excellent record of landing jobs and advancing their careers through this service, we offer no guarantee of job placement, interviews, level of compensation or promotion as a result of using these services. We have no control over the decisions of potential employers, labor market conditions, or how you conduct your job search. BY SUBSCRIBING TO THESE SERVICES, YOU AGREE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ALL OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

SUBSCRIPTION DURATION:

Job placement and Professional Coaching support services shall commence on the date on which we receive your subscription fee and end on the date you secure your next role or one (1) year thereafter, whichever comes earlier.

FEES:

The fee for our services must be paid in full before we will commence the interview process and draft your career documents.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

You acknowledge that these services require a collaborative process between us. You agree to perform suggested activities to generate the best job search results, and you agree to maintain communication with us. You understand that by not cooperating and collaborating with us, you will prevent us from providing you with the best product and services.

Furthermore, you agree that all information provided to us is true, correct, and complete information about yourself. You shall not use any false information, e-mail address, pretend to be someone other than yourself, or otherwise mislead us.

Professional Coaching Support Services

During your subscription term, you will have unlimited access to your executive coach until you land your new position or one (1) year from your subscription commencement date, whichever is earlier.

JOB SEARCH RESPONSIBILITY:

While we provide tools, ideas, advice, and commercially available data, we cannot be responsible for changing market conditions, job posting changes, or a client’s aggressiveness, attitude, and willingness to implement their action plan. NO VERBAL OR WRITTEN PROMISE OR GUARANTEE OF ANY JOB, COMPENSATION OR EMPLOYMENT IS MADE OR IMPLIED IN CONNECTION WITH THESE SERVICES OR OTHERWISE. Your success in the job market is solely your responsibility and the effectiveness of our Services depends on your commitment to implementing advice and strategies discussed.

Your Service includes professionally written documents also known as marketing and branding documents and/or career development sessions. As the client, you are responsible for reviewing your branding documents for completeness and accuracy. We work with you through the document edit phase before finalization. As the client, it is your responsibility to review and approve your documents before using them.

REFUND POLICY:

No Refunds: No refunds will be issued in connection with these services except as expressly provided in this section. You understand and agree that the time spent reviewing initial documents, preparing for and conducting client interviews, communicating with you, preparing resumes and other documents, and providing all other products and services in connection with this offering, is compensable at the rate charged by us. You further acknowledge and agree that no refunds will be given for failure to secure employment or failure to receive an interview from a prospective employer. We have no control over the interview and employment process and make no guarantees or promises regarding your job search.

Refunds will be issued under the following limited circumstances only:

Full Refund: If payment is received and Services are requested to be cancelled prior to your initial coach meeting, we will issue a full refund.

Partial Refund: If Services are requested to be cancelled within 24 hours after the initial coach meeting, we will issue a refund, less a $75.00 fee.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE, OUR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, EDITORS, OR REPRESENTATIVES BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION COMPENSATORY, DIRECT, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOSS OF INCOME OR DATA, LOSS OF OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE SERVICES.

CONFIDENTIALITY:

We respect the confidentiality of client information. However, confidentiality may be subject to legal exceptions, including but not limited to: (i) compliance with court orders or legal obligations; (ii) situations involving potential harm to you or others; and/or (iii) reporting requirements under applicable laws and company policies; provided further that we reserve the right to use and share information with our affiliates.

We take reasonable measures to protect client information but cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality in electronic communications.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY:

All materials, strategies, templates, and content provided during coaching sessions remain our intellectual property. You may use these materials for personal use but may not distribute, resell, or reproduce them for commercial purposes.

OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

Affiliate Disclosures. At times, we may recommend third-party products or services that we believe are beneficial to you, including those that may be offered by affiliates of us. Some of these recommendations may result in us receiving a commission if you utilize such services or products.

Nature of Services. These Professional Coaching Support Services are not a replacement for legal, therapeutic, financial, medical, or mental health advice and will not: (1) procure or attempt to procure any employment, business or sales for you; (2) perform any business management functions such as accounting services, advice on tax matters or the investment of funds; and (3) act as a therapist, counseling you or providing psychoanalysis, group therapy or behavioral therapy. You further understand and agree that as a specialized form of consulting, coaching is not the same as professional or licensed therapy and that you are always free to reject any advice, suggestions or requests made by us at any time.

You should seek appropriate professional assistance for matters requiring expertise outside the scope of the Services described herein.

DISCLAIMERS.

While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date career advice, the job market, hiring trends, and external resources are subject to change. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of third-party information referenced during the course of providing our Services.

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate a client relationship, or otherwise cancel orders at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to terminate Services if you engage in unethical behavior, harassment, or non-compliance with these terms. We will not refund the purchase price of any Service under any circumstances not expressly addressed hereunder. However, we will make a reasonable effort to satisfy every client.
